GARBAGE/RECYCLING FEES
BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Board of the Village of Cobb met on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 to review income and expenses for the 2026 Village of Cobb Garbage/Recycling Budget. Due to a new five-year contract with Republic Services and the increasing costs of solid waste handling contracts, revenues needed to be increased.
WHEREAS, in order to meet operating expenses for 2026, the Village Board of the Village of Cobb directs the Clerk/Treasurer to notify all garbage/recycling users, that effective with the February 1, 2026 billing the garbage/recycling fee will be increased.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the garbage/recycling fees base rate will increase from $14.67 per month to $19.24 per month, which constitutes a $4.57 per month increase.
ADOPTED this 14th day of January 2026 by Unanimous Vote of the Village Board of the Village of Cobb.
