The question will appear on the ballot as follows:
REFERENDUM QUESTION
Shall the Iowa-Grant School District, Grant and Iowa Counties, Wisconsin, be authorized to exceed the revenue limit specified in Section 121.91, Wisconsin Statutes, on a recurring basis by $1,200,000 beginning in the 2024-2025 school year to sustain educational programming, operations and facility maintenance?
YES □ NO □
EXPLANATION
The referendum election ballot will ask District electors to vote “yes” or “no” on the referendum election question set forth above.
A “yes” vote on the referendum question would authorize the Iowa-Grant School District’s annual budget to include $1,200,000 of revenue in excess of the state’s revenue limit beginning in the 2024-2025 school year and continuing thereafter. The District would be authorized to use such revenue to sustain educational programming, operations, and facility maintenance.
A “no” vote on the referendum would deny the Iowa-Grant School District authority to include $1,200,000 of revenue in excess of the state’s revenue limit beginning in the 2024-2025 school year to sustain educational programming, operations, and facility maintenance.
In the event a majority of the electors voting on the referendum question vote “yes”, the District will be authorized to exceed the state’s revenue limit by $1,200,000 beginning in the 2024-2025 school year on a recurring basis; if a majority vote “no” on the referendum question, the District will not be so authorized.
