It’s that time of year when we have snow and ice.
The Village ordinance 6-2-7(a) states that in the event of snow accumulating on sidewalks, the sidewalk shall be cleared of all accumulated snow and/or ice within twenty-four (24) from the time the snow ceases to accumulate on said sidewalk.
Please help keep your village safe for everyone and take care of your sidewalk. Thank you!
Please shovel the snow from all hydrants near your home, and the home of an elderly or disabled neighbor near you.
Should a fire unfortunately occur, the delay that would take place while the fire department is seeking to locate a hydrant, remove snow, and hook up hose lines could cause a loss of life and/or property.
